久光製藥株式會社(總公司:佐賀縣鳥栖市,代表取締役社長:中冨一榮,以下簡稱「久光製藥」)今日獲英國國際市調公司Euromonitor(Euromonitor International Ltd.)認定,其產品「Salonpas®(撒隆巴斯®)」自2016年起於 OTC藥品(非處方藥)市場的鎮痛消炎貼布部門連續4年榮膺銷售市占率全球No.1品牌,並獲頒認定證書。此外 「久光製藥」並同時獲認定為同部門連續3年銷售市占率全球No.1企業。

久光製藥自1847年(弘化4年)於佐賀縣鳥栖市田代(舊名肥前田代)創業以來,持續以當地為據點,貫徹「顧客第一主義」精神,對日本全國乃至全球各地提供藥品。久光製藥至今已有173年的悠久歷史,此次更榮獲認定,一切都應歸功於長久以來支持敝公司的顧客及利害相關人士,謹此致上由衷謝意。

本日(5月18日)相關數字的5及18,日文諧音有「消除痠痛」的意思,因此獲一般社團法人日本紀念日協會認定為「撒隆巴斯®日」。
久光製藥期盼今後也能繼續透過貼布對全球人士的QOL(生活品質)提升有所貢獻。

有關銷售市占率全球首位認定,是由Euromonitor市調公司於每年3~4月進行之外用鎮痛消炎劑全球市調中的貼布部門結果。此次調査對象為2019年全球零售店銷售額占比共計約70%之11國(中國、日本、美國、義大利、印尼、德國、巴西、越南、俄羅斯、菲律賓、印度),除了對廠商、批發商進行訪談外,並前往零售店實地訪視,計算不同國家、品牌之貼布銷售額,據以計算出銷售占比。

Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co., Inc. (Head Office: Tosu, Saga; President: NAKATOMI Kazuhide; hereinafter “Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical”) announced that Euromonitor International Ltd. (hereinafter “Euromonitor International”), a leading international market research company, recognized “Salonpas®” as the world’s No. 1 OTC topical analgesic patch brand for the fourth consecutive year since 2016. Euromonitor International presented Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical with two official certificates, one recognizing Salonpas®’s achievement and one naming Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical as the holder of the world’s largest share in the corresponding market category for three years running.

Since its 1847 founding in the Tashiro (then Hizen-Tashiro) area of Tosu, Saga, Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical has worked to provide Japan and the rest of the world with high-quality pharmaceutical products. May 18 has been registered with the Japan Anniversary Association as “Salonpas® Day,” whose date has linguistic ties to the Japanese phrase “Kori o iyasu” (“relieving stiffness”): “Ko” corresponds to the number 5 (“go”); “i” represents 1; and “ya” stands for 8.
Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical will continue to expand its business operations worldwide, centering its activities on the basic principle of “Delivering a Better QOL to the World.”

To determine the world’s No. 1 OTC topical analgesic patch brand, Euromonitor International conducts a global market research from March to April every year. In the eleven countries collectively representing about 70% of the global topical patch product retail market in 2019 (China, Japan, the United States, Italy, Indonesia, Germany, Brazil, Vietnam, Russia, Philippines, and India), Euromonitor International conducted trade interviews of manufacturers and wholesalers, visited retail outlets for store checks, and compiled the sales figures of patch products by country and brand to calculate the corresponding sales shares.
